Have you ever wondered what Jesus was really like? Through "The Chosen" you will meet Jesus in a powerful way. Session One is coming to Sacred Heart on Monday evenings, beginning October 25 at 6:45 PM in the Gathering Space.

While copies of Deacon Bob’s third book, Eleazar and the Messiah, are still available, several have asked for copies of his second book, Words to Live By. As a result, copies of this book are now available in the office.

Sean Calvin has been named as the Director of Discipleship Formation for Downriver Vicariate Family 3: St. Cyprian, Riverview, St. Joseph, Trenton, Our Lady of the Woods, Woodhaven, Sacred Heart, Grosse Ile, St. Roch, Flat Rock and St. Timothy, Trenton.

Every year we raise funds for our parish by means of a parish raffle. We use the raffle proceeds to fund necessary repairs and maintenance of our parish facilities. The drawings take place after the 11:00 AM Sunday Mass so we can share in the fun.

This workshop is being held on Saturday, November 13 from 9:00 AM. This Workshop is required for any adult who works closely with children in our parish. Some examples would be cathechists, chaperones, youth ministry, volunteers, coaches, scout leaders, etc.

Sacred Heart parish is offering a four-week seminar dealing with the loss of a loved one. The seminar begins on Sunday, November 7. The goal of the seminar is to reach out to others who have lost a loved one, to comfort them, to console them, and to listen to them. On your journey we want to offer you hope.

If you know a family member, friend or coworker who has not been baptized or baptized in another faith and has a desire to learn more about the Catholic faith and the Gospel of Jesus tell them that they are invited to inquire about the Catholic faith.

For many Catholics who have believed that the FEELING of anger in itself constitutes sinfulness, it will take time to develop a sincere belief that the FEELING of anger is a normal human emotion. It is not the FEELING of anger that is wrong, but the hurtful or sinful behavior that might come from it.

Our “World Marriage Day” anniversary will be celebrated on May 30th on Most Holy Trinity Sunday. Hopefully some of the COVID restrictions will be lifted and we will be able to have a luncheon after the 11:00 a.m. Mass.

The St. Mother Teresa/Fr. McGivney Scholarship was created by the Sacred Heart parish community in 1997 to commemorate the life and work of Mother Teresa. Blessed Fr. McGivney was added in 2018. This scholarship will recognize the high school senior in the parish who most aspires to the values of Saint Mother Teresa and Blessed Fr. McGivney. This will be awarded as a one-time grant.
