Studying the Sunday Readings

Besides prayerful meditation on Sacred Scripture and attentive listening when it is read at Mass, one of the most effective ways to grow in understanding and love for the Bible is to join  a  group that meets to discuss the Sunday Readings which will be proclaimed at the next Eucharistic liturgy. 

There are numerous benefits to this study which includes spiritual growth, a deeper understanding of God’s inspired word, fostering a more vibrant faith and strengthened relationships with others. This study offers a profound guidance and wisdom for navigating life’s challenges and making sound decisions. 

The beginning sessions will be an Introduction to Sacred Scripture and will include some basic topics about inspiration, revelation, canonicity, different versions, kinds of writings, Tradition, overview of salvation history, and how to pray with Scripture.
